NOTE:

  • All Club membership applications are subject to an approval process.
  • Incomplete / Incorrect application forms will not be accepted and will be returned.
  • Payment to be made via Cheque or Money Order.
  • EFT Payments will not be accepted unless prior arrangement. 
  • Club membership and AKA licences are valid for 12 months.
  • Prior Motor Sport Experience Applications will now attract a fee of $100.00 (non refundable).

How to apply for a new licence & CKRC Membership.

 

  1. Access the AKA website www.karting.net.au

  2. Click on "Apply for Licence" then click on "New Licence Application".

  3. Complete all the mandatory fields.

  4. Include one phone number and email address in the Contact Details section.

  5. Select preferred Class in Competition Details section.

  6. If possible, attach an electronic photo in Passport photo section.

  7. Select Applicable Conditions then click the "Next" button.

  8. Complete the Medical Declaration page then click "Next" button.

  9. Print out the final page "Apply for Competition Licence" which contains the application

    reference number (A??????).

     

Required Documentation

  2. Membership will require the following completed documentation;

     

  3. Application reference number (A??????) - if under 18, a parent will need to sign. Otherwise, make sure you sign this application form.

  4. Passport photo (if not done via on-line application).

  5. Copy of Birth Certificate (if under 18) or Drivers Licence (Over 18)

  6. Medical Certificate & Letter from Doctors (if over 60).

  7. Cheque/Money Order for your AKA Licence ($255) + Club Membership fees.

  8. If you paid the new application fee of $255 online via credit card, you just need to pay your club membership.

  9. Cheque/Money Order for CKRC Membership (see above clubs fees).

  10. New Karter must complete and sign CKRC Membership form.

  11. Each new licence holder will be required to complete an OLT (Observed License Tests), this involves a theory session and a track day. For Under 18's, parents will need to be present. For a copy of the current theory test, please email the membership secreatary.
  12. The purpose of an OLT for new members is to ensure that we meet our obligations to comply

    with various AKA requirements and that you understand your obligations whilst

    participating as a member of this club and as an AKA licence holder.

  13. All the above documentation must be completed and approved before your licence process is complete.

  14. A temporary Licence will be printed and signed by membership secretary. This will be

    issued to the new Karter

  15. Membership Secretary will forward all relevant Documents and Licence payment to AKANSW for

    further processing. And also will notify new member of their membership status.

  16. AKANSW shall issue formal Licence and Karting manual (rule book) via post to the New Karter.

     

 

How to renew your licence and apply for CKRC Membership.

  1. Print & fill out a current Canberra Kart Racing Club Membership Form.
  2. Post completed membership form along with your membership payment, either in chq or money order, to the membership secretary @ Po Box 1597 Fyshwick ACT 2609
  3. Upon receipt of correct form and payment, your Club expiry date will be updated on the AKA online system.
  4. Use your AKA password and user name to access your AKA records at www.karting.com.au, if you dont have access to your records, please call AKANSW so they are able to re-issue password and username.
  5. Renew your licence online.
